BIO & RESUME
I am a driven and accomplished Public Relations graduate with my B.A. in Public Relations with a minor in Communications studies from California State University, Long Beach.I have demonstrated a high level of academic excellence throughout my collegiate career, while maintaining a 3.8 GPA.
In addition to my studies, I have worked part-time throughout all four years of college and have completed several internships in southern california. The first internship that I completed was for the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) Long Beach Branch. I was interested in becoming an intern for NAACP because they have a devotion to fight for racial justice and equal rights for African Americans and other marginalized groups. The organization has played a pivotal role in many important events in American History. NAACP continues to work towards its mission of ensuring the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all persons, and eliminating race-based discrimination. My second internship was for BLND PR Agency. A boutique PR firm in Hermosa Beach. During this time I was placed into several teams, taking on multiple clients for BLND on their social media side as well as their public relations side.
My professional experience includes working at Nationwide Legal, a legal support company that serves the top law firms in the city of Los Angeles and the state of California. During my time there, I worked in the Court Services Department and processed State and Federal court filings. My passion for equal rights and women’s rights led me to join the non-profit organization Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. During my period in Gamma Phi Beta, CSULB I took on a roll as social chair. I organized events on behalf of the sorority for over 200 people, managing budgets and planning events to ensure their success. I am deeply committed to the sorority’s mission statement of inspiring the highest type of womanhood. The organization strives to instill a deep sense of dedication to self-improvement and intellectual growth, as well as a strong commitment to giving back to their communities and promoting the greater good.
